GM Pia Cramling, IM Jung Min Seo, and GM Juan Manuel Bellon Lopez, all representing Sweden, became Nordic champions at Lewis Chess Legends 2024! Winning 3 out of 4 Nordic titles for our good neighbors in Sweden surely deserves to be called a grand slam.

IM Jung Min Seo (Sweden) won the tournament with 7 out of 9 points, half a point ahead of rating favorite GM Jon Ludvig Hammer (Norway). Unfortunately, he was not included in the photos from the awards ceremony as he had to leave shortly after the round ended due to flight schedules.

IM norm to FM Jacob Templen Grave!

It is possible to evaluate such a tournament based on whether one or more players achieve a norm. Norwegian FM Jacob Templen Grave (Oslo Schakselskap) earned an IM norm with a score of 5.5/9 and a rating performance of 2475. He needed to either win or draw in the final round; he drew against WGM Savitha Shri B from India.

Congratulations on the impressive performance!
