The photo in the top right is from 2019 when Øystein Ekroll gave a lecture on the Lewis Chess Pieces in Øysteinsalen during Hell Chess International. Here, chess is being discussed outside Café 2 Towers, where, of course, the game is played with Lewis Chess Pieces.
The king was carved by Sarah Klopper (Salisbury Cathedral), and the queen was carved by Maya Martin (Hampshire). The pieces belong to Odd Halvor Moen, Selbu.

The lecture is supported by Trøndelag County Authority.
