Contest for LCL Participants!
We are thrilled to announce a social media contest for all participants of the Lewis Chess Legends tournament! From July 27th to August 18th, showcase your creativity and passion for chess history and culture through your social media posts. Here is your chance to win prizes while highlighting the magic of the Lewis Chess Legends, the Lewis pieces, the Archbishop's Palace, the Nidaros Cathedral, and the city of Trondheim.
Background and Purpose
The Lewis Chess Legends tournament aims to raise awareness about the historical link between the Lewis chess pieces and the Archbishop's Palace. This connection is a significant part of our cultural heritage, and the tournament seeks to bring this history to the forefront. By participating in this contest, you will help us share this rich historical narrative with a broader audience.

How to Participate
Create content: Post high-quality content on the above topics. This can include photos, reels or videos.
Use hashtags: All participants must include #LewisChessLegends in their posts to be eligible for the contest. You can also optionally include any of the following hashtags: #LewisChessPieces, #NidarosCathedral, #Trondheim and #ArchbishopsPalace.
Engage: Encourage likes, comments, and shares on your posts to increase your points.

Prizes
Grand prize for most points: 300 euro
Lottery prizes: 3 winners of 100 euro each
How to Win - Points System
The Grand prize will be awarded to the participant with the highest total sum of likes, interactions, and shares on their social media posts during the contest period. Points will be awarded as follows:
Reels/Videos: 5 points per like, 10 points per comment/share
Picture Posts: 3 points per like, 6 points per comment/share
Text only: 1 point per view, 2 points per comment/share
Lottery
Additionally, there will be a lottery for all contestants. For each post, contestants will receive one ticket up to a maximum of 10. Five winners will be randomly selected to receive 100 euros each.
Important Rules
Content Quality: Focus on creating engaging and high-quality posts. Examples include high-quality photos of the tournament venue, behind-the-scenes content, or interesting historical facts about the Lewis chess pieces.
Discretion: Do not publicly mention that you are participating in a contest, create other posts to inform followers about the contest, or have others make posts to help you. However, it is allowed to ask people to like, reply, and share your posts.
Eligibility: This contest is exclusively for participants in the Lewis Chess Legends Open, Senior U2200, and the Berserker Blitz tournament.
